Rehearsals, Costumes & Good Times!

When I agreed to help with costumes for A Christmas Tale, I had no idea what I was signing up for because I'd never done it before. The good news? We are 95% done with the costume selection process and all we need is a few accessories! Woo Hoo! Truth be told, I've really enjoyed myself. Lots of trips to the local theatre to find a different size, color or style; but having the gift of TIME has once again -- been a HUGE blessing.
Rehearsals are going well. We have finished blocking each scene and we're having fun running through them. Right now, we are getting in a few extra rehearsals to "make up" for the time we will miss during the Thanksgiving Break. This week, we rehearsed (or will rehearse) for at least two hours each evening: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday. I'm loving it!
A few days ago I offered to watch Pam & Frank's kids after school so that Pam could run some errands. I picked Ty up at 2PM and then we had an hour before it was time to pick up Hannah. Not much time to do anything ... well ... except grab an ice cream at Braum's! LOL. Ty did not object, not even one little bit. :-) Good times!
Do you like the sticker on his forehead? Hannah told me whenever he gets a sticker on "Li-barry" Day, that's where it goes. Cracks me up.
After we picked Hannah up at school, we came back to my apartment and got Hannah a snack. Her favorite? Kettle Chips! I didn't take a photo of her enjoying the snack but I do have a great photo of Hannah to share. Last Sunday between church services she and I were studying our lines for the show. Recently, her mom & dad told her she could buy something at Claire's for the great work she's been doing in school (5th grade has been ladened with TONS of homework). She bought these clear glasses and is in LOVE with them. If she could sleep in them, I think she would!! LOL. Doesn't she look adorable and so very grown up? :o)
Well family & friends, it's time for me to fix my dinner (pasta & veggies) and get ready for rehearsal - but before I leave, I must share with you my exciting news. For the past *year*, I have been on a Fitness Journey. I have enjoyed Cardio Kickboxing, Zumba and Spinning classes. I have tried to make healthier food choices. I've made an effort NOT to sit down with a bag of chips but instead put some on a plate and then put the bag away! LOL. I'm not at my goal weight quite yet ... but I will admit ... it has been a LONG time since I've seen this number on my scale (actually, before I was pregnant with my oldest who is now 29). Dedication, encouraging instructors and lots of sweat have made it possible. I feel better than I have in a long time. I'm super encouraged! Woo Hoo! TTFN.
