Caution! Work In Progress.

Check out some wall "art" in my bedroom that Gail and I had so much fun with yesterday. This shadow person is me at my 50th birthday bash! LOL. As I mentioned in a previous post, Gail is helping me accessorize my apartment and due to my limited budget, she's gotta be VERY creative. No problem, she is totally up for the task!
We found these vinyl clings at the Circle Dot Boutique (okay, Target) and the stick-on mirrors were from TJ Maxx. The wall is not quite finished yet, but I will post pics when it's complete. I'm going to go look for vinyl letters tomorrow - at the top of the wall (over the shadow dancers) I'd like it to say: Dance With Me!
My living room is a little less "naked" these days as well. The cushions against the wall actually belong on my patio furniture but I keep 'em inside so I don't have to worry about finding a tarantula or any other kind of HUGE creepy, crawly thing on 'em. Yes, everything is BIGGER in Texas ... especially the bugs. Ewwwwww.

Do you love this "Autumnal Splendor" arrangement as much as I do? The bowl was $5 at TJ Maxx (clearance) and MOST of the Fall Lovies in the bowl were 40% off at Hobby Lobby (kinda like a Michael's Craft store in Cali, but BIGGER and better).
Some of you might have noticed that I changed around some of the "borrowed art". It just made more sense to have the MarketPlace & Vineyard pieces in the dining room! It's starting to feel a little cozier now - and it echoes a whole lot less! :-D
Okay, enough apartment stuff. Can someone please reply with a comment? Do you love or hate my "apartment-on-a-dime"? What's new and exciting in YOUR world? I really *would* love to hear from you. Before I go, I'd love to give a special shout-out to Gladys Ballenger because I'm told she anxiously awaits the arrival of my next blog post! That cracks me up and makes my heart so happy. Love you, "Gladiola Thunderleaf"!
Until next time. TTFN (Ta Ta For Now).

  2. Oh, Lynnie, your house endeavors are great! It sounds and looks like you and your Interior Decorator are having such a grand time in your travels and adventures! Yes, I look forward to your blogs! Wonderful. In the fact of keeping your patio chair covers inside so the tarantulas cannot hide in them! I am sure Gaily told you about my "tarantula" visitor to the entrance of my garage!! Oh, my gracious! He is now "scattered all about." Gladiola Thunderleaf
